Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyasi


Turkish-American Art Society Presents; Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyasi Being Turkey’s one of the most popular musicals, “Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyasi” was first put on stage 29 years ago. It was written by Haldun Dormen, and its music was composed by Melih Kibar and Cigdem Talu. The musical has been perfomed on more than 600 stages. With no doubt, it is one of the best known and charming musicals in Turkey. A small local Anatolia theater’s new lead singer search and the rich villager’s love for the new singer followed by humorous consequences has been the main topic of this musical which, was first performed on March 3rd, 1980 in San Theater under Egemen Bostanci’s production. The first show was recorded and published many times in different media channels, there has even a TV series been shot as a continuance of the musical. The musical will be performed one more time, in New York on June 13th, 2009. It will be produced by Ibrahim Yazici and directed by Gulcin Hatihan. The cast will be as follows; Burak Kut, Ugur Ugural, Ibrahim Yazici, Meltem Mete, Duygu Erdogan, Onur Selçuk, Ayse Eldek, Karin Altin, Özcan Yarar, Özgür Cebioglu, Murat Cem Orhan, Deniz Hancioglu, Zümrüt Atli, Ceren Aricioglu, Ilke Hazel Kirtis. The total cast including the dancers and the technical support, will be 80 people. We look forward to seeing all of you at our performance.
